Mother hears sweet sound coming from littered boxes after dropping son off at school, discovers 7 abandoned adorable kittens to turn from trash into treasure

Cats can be found in the strangest of places. We found our first cat behind a dumpster on our way back from the movie theater, where she was looking for something to eat. We've written stories about dogs finding kittens on abandoned hiking trails, hiding in sheds in the backyard, but by far, the saddest place to find a cat is in the trash. We don't want to know what could pawssibly be going through people's heads when they would do such a thing, but it happens more often than you think. Most times, they are kittens that are too young to be separated from their meowther (if you do find a kitten like this, you should look up The Kitten Lady on YouTube, she many videos on caring for pre-natal kittens).

Well, one woman's trash is another one's treasure. On her way back from dropping her son off at school, one mom noticed some boxes littered across her path. But she didn't just see them, she heard them. She heard a sweet sound coming from them, and upon closer investigation, found a purrfectly tiny kitten's nose sticking out of one of the boxes! She didn't find just one or two kittens, she found 7! She scooped them up, bathed them, and is now looking for their furrever homes. Let's give her a round of appaws!

  • Finding 7 kittens all at once? That sounds like the dream. Can you imagine all the pointy tails, the floofy bodies, all the tiny mews they will have? We're only slightly jealous. Can we adopt all of them at once?

    I now have 7 tiny kittens in my house that have been bathed with dawn for fleas, dried and fed. They are now napping while my husband and I discuss what the plan is for finding homes because we cannot keep all of them.

  • For every purrson willing to dump kittens, there is someone willing to rescue them. At least that. If we focus too much on the bad, we start to feel lost in the world, so we choose to focus on the hero (and not the villain). If you apply that trait to other parts of your life, we guarantee your life will look pawsitively brighter.

    My husband says three black cats are enough for one house... but he just doesn't understand legit speaking, if we lived in the same area I'd prob get that baby from you bc it's just calling out to me but I'm willing to bet we're not in the same area lol. Good luck finding loving homes!

    • Feed these little ones Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR), available in the US at Walmart, Target, feed stores, and pet stores. If you can't get any KMR, Los Angeles Kitten Rescue has recipes for homemade kitten formula.

    • Feed them when they're . • lying on their stomachs so they don't choke. Make sure they pee and after they eat by massaging around their with a warm washcloth, a dampened tissue, or a dampened paper towel.

If you plug in your city, state, or zip code, they have a Community Resource Tool that's just been updated, and the resources are free or low cost (spay-neuter clinics; vet care; financial support; pet food pantries; local organizations, and local individuals who volunteer with cats).

    When you do find them homes please do some vetting of where they go. There are more monsters who will do unthinkable things to kittens/ cats when they find them up for free adoption.
